About our numbers

VoIP User offers its members use of our PSTN gateway. We have various blocks of UK numbers that we can assign, which you can use to forward to landlines in most countries, use with our fax to email service and, of course, terminate to your SIP phone or IAX2 device or PBX.

How do I use them?

Simply join this website as a member to obtain a UK non-geographic number. As a member, you will then have full access to the VoIP User Control Panel which will let you terminate these numbers to IAX, SIP or landline/mobile telephones in most countries in the World.

What are you doing to expand your number ranges?

We talk to telco's (not just in the UK, but worldwide). It's a long process, but we're getting there. We do find that as VoIP User expands and our membership increases, more and more people are willing to talk to us. At the moment, we can only offer PSTN ranges from the UK but we do hope to offer non-geographic numbers in other Countries in the future.

Our model relies on the use of revenue generating non-geographic numbers. Whilst not "premium" rated (our 0844 986 range which we terminate to SIP costs the caller 3p/min at all times at BT rates for example) the revenue we obtain is used to bulk buy outbound routing at pre-wholesale rates which funds our outbound SIP services.

Our 0703 range of numbers are what would be considered "premium" rated (costing the caller 50p/min at all times at BT rates), the termination options are more flexible. For example, an 0703 UK number can be terminated to a foreign mobile in Australia or the USA.
