Hi,

I'm looking for a SIP client for Linux. What I want to do is have the client connect to my VoIP provider, call a number, and play a prerecorded message letting a staff member know about a server outage.

If anyone could suggest something, that would be spectacular Smile

Thanks Ian,

Sipsak looks great, but I can't find a whole lot of documentation on it. It says it can send text files which contain SIP requests; is that what I'm after?

I seem to remember that there were quite a few that predated the fancy Linux sip clients of today. There is one by Cornfed but I think it is still a commercial product as well as something called PJSUA(?).

Thanks dibsmft!

PJSUA looks good. I've worked out how to make it call my IP phone and play the message. Haven't figured out how to make it call a landline yet, but I'm workin' on it Smile

Could you please share your script with us. I am looking to do exactly what you were trying and you could save me a couple of days of trial and error time.

Thanks
