I signed up with VoipBuster for the Free unlimited Calls for 1 year, I paid the 20 Euro's which credited my account with 15 Euro's, All looked great my account states that I have 365 days of FREE calls left so I try to make a local call to let my friend know of this great offer, to my suprise the call did not come up as FREE but charged 0.39 euro as did the next call, I have tried to contact VoipBuster through the Customer Feedback but have had no reply, has anyone else had this problem.

Hi Rugrat and welcome to Voipuser

I signed up with VoipBuster

Are you sure it wasn't Voipbuster Pro? Its different to Voipbuster.

The pro version definitely says there is a 3.9 cent connection fee whereas the original 'Voipbuster' seems to have developed a very complicated pricing model which calculates numbers of 'free days' to a specific (and dynamic) list of free destinations this is dependent on how you pay, how much you pay, how you connect + after all that you may or may not (I can't work it out) get charged a connection fee or after a certain number of days a per minute fee.

Customer service seem to fix unique problems but they assume issues like this are dealt with by user discussion.

Some lengthy posts on this topic (as you can imagine !) in the Voipbuster forum.

Thanks for the reply yes it is VoipBuster Pro but if what you say is true how can they get away with advertising something as FREE when in actual fact it is costing 3.9 cent for connection fee surely this would contraviene the trades description act.

Its just marketing symantics isnt it. In fairness to VB Pro it does say clearly on their home page ...

Quote:
* A connection fee of 3.9 euro cents applies to all VoipBusterPro phone calls.

So the calls are free but it costs you to make the initial connection !

Hello Saigon and welcome to Voipuser

You need to carefully read the earlier posts in this thread to work out what is going on!

I have read as many comments as I can find on this service, and I have read over and over the same complaints about this dirty game of busting people when saying one thing and not applying like this voipbuter, beast, and all the related names...I haven't purchase yet for I wrote them quite a few emails to NO reply. I am sending questions over a month reason being I joined VoIpuser...to find out I am not the only one being IGNORED by them. The word has to be spread.

Its not a question of being ignored and you should not be taking it so personally. Basically there is NO customer service support for anyone. You get cheap calls (?) and that's about it. If you want something different then try a different company, don't waste your energy requesting something impossible or let it aggravate you.

Hi, TBH 99% of the complaints are:-

1. People dont read in FULL the terms and conditions, and in Saigons case, They dont even read the front page of the website.
2. Misconfiguration of PC or software.

They are not a new outfit and have been arround for many years, a little research would have shown that do not answer customer queries unless it is a REAL issue and not a customer error such as 1 or 2 above.
Think about it, The time it will take even the lowest paid staff member to reply to your query would rack up a wage bill of about 5 Euro, you have only paid 10 euro, so if they did reply to 2 queries they would make a loss and in the end go the same was as companies trying the same business model but offering customer service, IE Go Bust...

sad but true.

---------------
I am complaining about these companies(voipb..., 12voip...) which are the same one to begin with; don't answer the concerns besides they the EU$ which I don't need to be buying in EU for I am fine without it, and being fooled by the *FREE* special deal. NO SUCH A THING. That on is a big...!
