Hello

I would like to know how i can setup an incoming route with sipgate? I have trixbox and my knowledge doesnt extend past creating extensions, ring groups and IVRs.

What I envisage is incoming calls going through sipgate and outgoing calls going through this VOIP provider. How do i setup incomign and outgoing routes for this?

Jay - ?

Hi Jay,

If you haven't sorted it already here is some guidance.

TO set up a sipgate incoming for a user SIPID with password SIPPW:
Quote:
Sip Trunk

Outgoing Settings

Trunk Name: Sipgate

Peer Details:
allow=gsm
allow=alaw
allow=ulaw
allow=g729
allow=slinear
authuser=SIPID
canreinvite=yes
context=ext-did
disable=all
dtmfmode=info
fromdomain=sipgate.co.uk
fromuser=SIPID
host=sipgate.co.uk
insecure=very
nat=no ;Sipgate say this should be =yes so I don't know why I have it =no
qualify=yes
secret=SIPPW
srvlookup=yes
type=friend
username=SIPID

Incoming Settings
All blank

Registration Details
register string:
SIPID:SIPPW@sipgate.co.uk/SIPID

Set up a DID Route
DID Number SIPID
This is a combination of my settings and Sipgate's help text. I have restricted mine to the gsm codec at the moment so I have added back the other codecs.

This rather assumes that you are on sipgate.co.uk so if not you will have to change all the references to your local server.

If you want to route out through sipgate (co.uk) they take the normal non-international string e.g. 01279....

You say you want to dial out through this Voip provider - do you mean Voipuser? Have you got the outbound working yet?

Please remember that Voipuser relies on a community pool so you should take some inbound through the voipuser numbers to top up the pool.

Best wishes

Adrian

Thanks that was perfect.

For others that may use. the big bit was.

""Set up a DID Route
DID Number SIPID""

That is to say you must:

1. set up an incomming route
2. In the "DID Number" setting you must enter your Sipgate SIP-ID, not the telephone number.
