Hi, i'm a new user of your fantastic service.

From the post below i found out that i can use your service to call pstn line "only" if i help the community to grow up (ex. if i made 3hours of phone call to pstn line is a good thing if i will receive 3or more hours of phone call on the pstn number that you assigned me).

My problem:
I'm italian, but my pstn number is a uk based number.I can't ask my friend to make an international phone call to talk with me RazzRazz

I would like to ask you a question:
There is any other ways to help the community to grow (money donations or others, that should be the same of receive phone call Very Happy)
Thanks in advance and sorry for my poor english, i hope you can understand the sense of my word Very HappyVery Happy

Hi Skumpic and welcome to the forums.

That's ok - I can understand what you're saying perfectly Wink

There are more ways than one to help the "community". Help out on the forum here (helping others set up, giving your thoughts on voip etc etc) or writing a review of a piece of VoIP hardware that you own. That all adds "value" to what we do here.

We are currently considering a PayPal "donation" option, although we're undecided about it. Our true aim was to create something that didn't involve the use of "cash". Given the large number of non-UK users that we seem to be attracting, we may have to introduce that option.

We'll keep you posted on that. In the meantime, like I say, you can contribute in more than one way. If you're not directly generating minutes into the pot however, I would suggest that really you should keep your useage down very low in any event.

If you really need outbound VoIP as a more permanent solution, you will probably need a "proper" VoIP provider.

Hope that all makes sense!

Dean

Thanks dean for your fast reply.
Well, so i will try to use outbound call as less as i can untill you will decide about the "donation option".
Your first aim (make call and receive it without cash) is basically a great idea.
Here in Italy voip services are not so good (same rate as telco company!!,and very poor audio and codec quality...Sad )
So i hope to be able to use your services in a way or other.
I will try to give some suggestion on the forum, but to tell all the truth i will pass the first time asking how to configure the asterisk pbx that i want to set up Very HappyVery HappyVery Happy...and maybe i will use voipuser connection to make all my test Very HappyVery Happy
See you and thanks again

How about replying to spam with an 0870 number, and terminating that number at a recording designed to keep the guy on the line as long as possible?
