I've been using 3 different betamax products since a year. Lowratevoip, internetcalls, voipbuster. There wasnt any problem since this weekend. And now I cannot call anywhere. This has happened to one of my friends this weekend also. And one other a month ago. I think they are started blocking. So be aware. Dont buy more than 10 euros. You can loose it anytime.

I think you should go back in this thread about two posts and read again the suggestions there, I think they apply to your situation too

If you can post some more detailed info then I am sure we can narrow down a few more ideas

My voip stunt account has same problem. Even though i have credit and free days still iam unable to call. it shows call ended ( dueto an unknown errror the call was ended). Moreover on my account page under remaining credit it shows money and besides there is small oval or close bracket. I can not even buy new credit. I can not create new account. I can not use direct call. I can not even call with voipstunt access number it says the number is not presently not reachable for every phone.I have the same problem with my just voip account. I donot think it is a problem of ports and I think accounts are blocked.But why ? I gave mail 2 weeks back and no replys.

can somebody please suggest some solution

Matter of Location from where you are calling,they donot block ,but also not allowed INDIAN IP's for long calls(free trial)

It is not new that they are start to fishing money of users and also users not able to place calls.NO SUPPORT by E-MAIL for anyone anytime.

Just wait for 2 or 3 days and try again to place calls OR use SIP credentials on X-lite V.2 softphone and you can use the account to place calls succesfully without any problem.

@kramasundar

you are true kramasundar, i know many persons who had this problem, i am facing same problem with voipraider.
It seems this problem is self created, so no one is going to get its solution. Does any body in the world has recovered from this problem, I BELIEVE NO.

@Site Admin (gray )
I have followed all of yours instructions, in addition i tried your software in many different countries so that if problem is in my computer it should work at other places. but NO.

Tell all of us what should we do

It is probably worth mentioning that Voipuser has no connection with any of the Betamax companies. All we can do is try to help and that is about it.

Have you tried using another non-Betamax provider just to make sure that the problem is not at your end? Gizmo allows a small quota of test calls and, of course. you could try the Voipuser service as well. You may find that it is worth paying a little more for calls just to avoid the problems that you have been having.

We have been doing that ! You need to read again carefully the last two posts on the first page of this thread and try out some of the proposals, then let us know what happened.

What software is that? Voipuser is a non commercial VOIP community, it doesn't 'provide software'. I do suggest you take a look at Xlite as suggested earlier and give that a go.

You need to give more information. What operating system are you using (Linux, MS Windows or Apple and what version) and are you using a router or connected directly to the internet through your computer? You could try activating STUN if you ave already done so. As suggested earlier, try another voip client (eg Zoiper or Xlite both have free versions) and try connecting to another provider such as Gizmo or Voxalot (both allow free testing).

Thanks for quick reply.
I have tried many other voip clients, they are working perfect, even voipraider (with which i am facing problem) worked well till i purchased some credit and made my first call. When i tried to make second call it stopped calling.

I am using Windows XP SP2, and my voip client is voipraider.
Since, i am working in a big organization, i use internet through LAN, that probably means i am using internet through router.
But, i will be thankful to you if you please tell me how can i unblock port 5060 in both cases (through router and direct connection).

You say that the voip client was working until you purchased credit. This suggests that the problem is not with your computer (and only try to run one client at a time) but rather with the network to which it is attached. Since the network is a business network you should consult your computer support department. Of course, it is always possible that they have blocked voip if they do not wish to allow it on their network. Otherwise the problem may be with Voipraider. As far as Windows WP is concerned I think this link may help you to open the ports (you need at least 5060 (udp) and perhaps 8000-8005 (udp or what ports the client listens on)
