sipx cannot talk to Mediant gateway

Okay, one step at a time, then. I'm trying to get sipx to recognize my AudioCodes Mediant 2000 gateway.

- sipx 3.4 is installed and running, and I'm using sipXconfig to access it.

- The Mediant 2000 is on the local subnet, and is working properly, and I am browsing its configuration screens

- I've put the Mediant's IP address and MAC address in the appropriate fields, selected Apply, gone back to the previous screen, selected the Mediant, then selected "Send Profiles". It says it says "1 gateway profile will be generated...", and the status screen says "Projection for gateway Mediant 2000". However, the Model still displays as "unmanaged gateway" rather than "AudioCodes Mediant 2000", and I get no other configuration options.

I've been referring to "How To configure AudioCodes SIP Gateway with sipX" elsewhere in this wiki, and these are the things that page told me to do, but I can't proceed because sipx simply doesn't realize it's talking to a Mediant 2000.

What else do I need to do??
