Hi
Got TrixBox up and running with no problems except that it appears that no DTMF tones are being passed for input of voicemail passwords or IVR menu options.

I have verified this on several extensions and also on incoming trunks, all i get is the timeout option or Alison telling me password or login incorrect.

If its something obvious I'm missing it!

TIA

Steve

Hi Steve,
Check the usual suspects:-
DTMF set correctly (both ends),
Mailbox is set to ext@default
and 'T t' set for control in General settings

After that we need to explore what is happening in the CLI

was ok FYI I have sip info set on the granstreams and rfc2833 set on the x-lite soft phone.

changed but no improvement.

added T, again still the same.

here is the cli output at verbosity = 5 It picks up no input at all from the point at which I input the password.

Verbosity was 1 and is now 5

Hi All,
The software build I had used consisted of Trixbox 1.0 updated to latest via the script plus webmin plus samba installed from webmin.

As far as I can work out the problem was caused by installing samba from webmin and not from the trixbox cli, as I have rebuilt the system with the only difference being the TrixBox CLI installed samba and ita all works!

Something to look out for amoungst those of us who have to multipurpose our systems.

Regards Steve

Sorry to resurrect a post from the dark ages, but I am experiencing the same problem with Trixbox 2, and this is without having installed anything.

Any suggestions?

I looks like I have a similar problem My Grandstream BT102 can not retreive voicemail. When I enter *97 it prompts for the password. When the password is entered nothing happens and it the trixbox times out and says to re-enter the password. It looks like the in band DTMF is not being sent out or is not recognised. This same extension work fine with a x-lite softphone but does not work with my Grandstream BT102

Thanks
Colin

Grandstream phones work best using Sip-info for the DTMF mode.
Otherwise, is it DTMF that is not working or voicemail?
Try setting an interactive call forward or speedial.
Check where the system is sending Voicemail for an extension. Usually ext@default is more reliable than the default setting

I had this similar problem using Trixbox 2.0 with our Grandstream GXP2000 phones. To resolve this problem I accessed the phones web interface, went to the account settings, and found a "Send DTMF" option which was currently set to "in-audio". The options I could change it to were "via RTP (RFC2833)" and "via SIP INFO". In my Trixbox settings for the extensions I had "dtmfmode" set to "rfc2833" so I assumed the option I wanted was "via RTP (RFC2833)". I changed the option in the phone web interface, rebooted the phone, and TADA, I can now enter my password to the voice mail system with no problem. Hopefully this info will help some else.

Has anyone solved this? i have the exact same issue - grandstream BT102 phone, voicemail hangs waiting for the password - have tried all permutations of dtmfmode= in both trixbox and the phone setup including "dtmfmode=info" ... nothing works.

voicemail works fine from an IAX extension. thanks.

Hello,

We are also experiencing issues with the DTMF from a Fixed Wireless Terminal(FWT) via GSM connected to a port on a A200 Sangoma card on a TrixBox CE system. When we enter digits from mobile phones as access codes or phone digits to call via Mobile phone it is not recognized by the TrixBox System

We will try and see if there are RTP(RFC2833) settings on our FWT and see if indeed that would correct our situation.

Or has anybody out there who has experienced the same issues we are having with DTMF through Fixed Wireless Terminals?

Thanks,

Carlos
