Hi!
My first post here
I have an account on www.voiptalk.org, I followed instructions for registering with SIP or IAX. SIP trunk is working fine, but with IAX I receive this error msg: Jun 15 22:16:35 NOTICE[31416]: chan_iax2.c:5876 socket_read: Registration of '838733213' rejected: Registration Refused.
Here is my iax.conf file configuration:
[general]
bindport=4569
bindaddr=199.99.199.99
jitterbuffer=yes
dropcount=1
tos=0x10
disallow=all
allow=ulaw
allow=alaw
register => 838733213:8DS9078D@iax5.voiptalk.org
[voiptalk]
type=user
dtmfmode=rfc2833
context=voiptalk
canreinvite=no
qualify=8000
host=iax5.voiptalk.org
username=838733213
auth=md5
secret=8DS9078D
disallow=all
allow=ulaw
allow=alaw
notransfer=no
sendani=no
trunk=no
I tried everything and I'm tired from it, I don't know what to do... |

Hi
So you have two accounts correct ? The sip one works the IAX doesnt. What happens when you call the IAX number ?

IAX set up for Voiptalk is significantly different (and simpler) to SIP
Format for inbound is
| Quote: | [VoIPtalk Incoming Number] (as 08....)
type=friend
username=VoIPtalk Incoming Number
context=[XXXXXXXX]
qualify=yes |
And outbound is
| Quote: | [voiptalk]
type=peer
username=USERID
secret=PW
host=iax5.voiptalk.org |
To the best of my knowledge they do not openly support MD5 |

Currently not, but I have tried to have a trunk, first with SIP only (working) than i have deleted it, than i tried with IAX only (does not work).
I'm not sure what do you mean, "What happens when you call the IAX number", I just want to call an PSTN number over that trunk Asterisk >>> Trunk >>> VoIPtalk >>> PSTN number.
Thank you for answering or posting here.... |

Have you set up the Voiptalk end for IAX?
It is not configured automatically just because you've bought IAX minutes |

From your Voiptalk account screen, select 'Manage my Incoming Numbers'
Choose your number, in the next screen
Select Configuration option for 'Route to PBX' on the next
then:-
Choose Voip protocol 'Asterisk PBX (IAX)'
Enter your servers public IP or DNS name
and finally hit the route button.
Although it should be pretty near instantaeneous, it can take an hour to sort itself out.
I cannot find any instructions on their site to say any of this has to be done either. |
