I've been PM'd and emailed now by quite a few members who are also programmers offering to help out with things that Tj and I are doing here (thanks guys!).
We've actually been thinking about some open-source projects for VoIP that we'd quite like to do. We can provide the resources for people to work together and the backend for testing any VoIP projects etc.
If you're interested, post on this thread and we'll see how many of you there are. Could be quite interesting.

I'm a programmer and i'm interested but unfortunatly don't have huge amounts of time for big development projects.
I'd definatly be up for testing cool voip stuff and giving input though.

Full time self employed, working for (believe it or not) some rather large telco companies.
Not much experience with linux, but program mainly in Delphi/C#.NET and
(hangs head in shame) VB.
During my free time have started to knock up a few Windoze programs to access asterisk cdr.
Willing to help as much as I can, (but not until Superbowl has finished )

I'm working for a comms (defence) company doing systems integration work but have in previous jobs worked as a software engineer mostly working in C/C++ for both windows and *nix... just starting (in Oct) an MSc in my spare time so would be quite happy to help out with anything that needs doing (need to start to program again as it has been a while since I last coded anything more than some perl scripts) |

This is proving quite interesting. I'm keeping an eye on this thread and we'll see when we hit 10 or 15 promgrammers if we can maybe get a little project started.

Let's try and keep this thread to programmers and those that would be interested in being involved in an open-source project. Probably something very simple to start with as a bit of a VoIP User experiment. A back to back SIP user-agent (B2B UA) as an anti-SPIT device perhaps.

I'm also a programmer! (also self taught, with professional experiance in business software development)
C#.NET
Visual Basic
c++
My favorite programming is anything related to TCP/IP networking.
Unfortunately I do not have allot of time (yes, unfortunately I have a job so I don't get to sit around and play with my * box - well, not all day, anyway). but I do have some good ideas that I have wanted to get developed for VoIP - maybe I could pitch in there too. |

Would love to help out too, although not as experienced as the previous posters. Perhaps you would like a part-time intern to help make the coffee =P
Experience includes:
Programming: C++, VB6, ARM C and Assembler
Scripting: VBScript, JScript, ASP, PHP, Perl |
