Hello everybody,
I am trying to install SipX on a Debian system in order to build a VoIP - SIP test platform.
I have already read all I could find on this subject but I still have one question concerning the IP address configuration.
The Calivia site states that I should use a fixed one (
http://sipx-wiki.calivia.com/index.php/HowTo_install_sipX_3.0_on_Debian_Sarge#Verify_Host_and_Domain_Name_Settings). However, this is not possible on the network I use because DHCP is used.
Is there any way to ensure that a computer has always the same IP address even on a DHCP network ? Has anyone already been in this situation?
Thanks in advance for your help.

P.S. I am have discovered recently both the Linux and Sipx so don't hesitate to correct me if I'm asking silly questions.
