It seems possible. I (foolishly) signed up with BT for voip a few years ago. They provided me with a fujitsu FDX 840 which I later found to be a re-badged and re-boxed DVG 1120m. I flashed with the 1120s image.I have never used because at the time I needed STUN. |
I have heard about this before. I don't know if Fujitsu is still supporting this device with new SIP firmware releases that supports for STUN options. This way, I can flash my DVG-1120 with Fujitsu firmware and use it. As of now, I can only use this device as two extensions to my trixbox.

I did a google search to no avail. Perhaps, BT Voyager v10 owners can help in this matter. |

| badman : | | ... for the latest 2.16 firmware release. |
Is the SIP menu locked by this firmware? If so, do you know its username/password to access the SIP menu? |

I'm surprised this hasnt come up already..
the web front-end is pretty basic, and is mainly to check everything is working as you assume. It has an "advanced" button, but this merely lulls you into a false sense of hope.
telnet is where it's at.
The UN/PW setup by default for both is admin/admin. |

I believe this is for the router part, what about the UN/PW for the SIP Voice Module (VM)? According to what you said earilier, I gathered one can only access the VM through a telnet session, am I right? |

sorry, obviously wasn't quite clear enough. By "both" I meant telnet and "advanced" on the web page. |

What exactly did you mean by lull into a false sense of hope? |

It means you need to go into the telnet mode as described at the top of this thread. |

I am glad you pointed that out because that's what I understood; however, this doesn't look like the case as pointed out by badman in his previous post and I quoted below:

Were you able to successfully flash the BT Voyager 10V firmware to your Fujitsu FDX-840 unit? |

Bad news I'm afraid. I seem to be too thick to be of any use. I downloaded the file which has a .zz suffix. I had'nt come across .zz so I looked it up and found that zzip creates .zz files. But when I try to unzip it with zzip it says it is not a .zz file and wont do anything. So I'm stuck!
I looked up the uk d-link site, and it says that it supplies uk telecom companies. Since BT's last voip router (the FDX sent me) was a d-link, it seems probable that the BT voyager is also made be d-link. So my guess is that the voyager can be flashed with the appropriate d-link firmware (whatever that is).

Hi All
I'm new to this forum but I have been following what's been going on.
As you guys know BT are well known for repackaging and retagging other company’s hardware as with the FDX840 (D-Link) BT Home Hub (Thomson Tech) the list go's on & on
I also had a FDX840 I flashed it with the D-link firmware it worked ok at best however looking at the file headers of the last Bt update and the D-link it didn’t look likely to work but what the hell I had a go anyway with no luck
What I’ve found out so far:
(1) There is a higher level of access to the unit over telnet of administrator Pw not known yet ie: in admin/admin mode if you use the command "set user type xxxxx" the response is permission denied
There are many other commands that invoke the same response in admin/admin mode
(2) I've downloaded the firmware update (2.16) from the Voyager site apart from the first two bytes of the file header the body of the update file is softly encrypted and I intend to decode & decompile it to see if that gives us any light on the subject. This may that some time though
(3) One thing of interest the main board of the 10v is manufactured by a company called Global Flex who it just so happens also make the main boards for UTstarComs iAX-02EX ATA and even more interestingly the chip set of the two devices are identical !! Just take a look
http://www.utstar.com/Solutions/CPE/VoIP_CPE/ (website)
http://www.utstar.com/Document_Library/0043.pdf (Data sheet PDF)
The Specifications for this unit is the same as the 10v even down to the http:// programming BT use to set-up the 10v and the Data Encryption for configuration files it might be interesting to try and get hold of the iAX-02EX firmware to compare with the last BT update.
More later
All the best

So, it is safe to say that a BT Voyager 10V isn't hardware compatible with a Fujitsu FDX-840 and/or DLink DVG-1120. |

Sorry Guys
I realy don't think the DLink DVG-1120 firmware is going to be of any use at all with the 10v the file format is wrong for the 10v apart from that the chipset used in the FDX840 is not the same.
Still looking into the 2.16 upgrade file that may well yeald some hints
