Hi,
I'm new to VOIP. I just downloaded Asterisks and installed it in one of my old machine. I'm able for create Extensions and talk between them. Now I'm trying to make outbound calls using my home phone(PSTN). I have a "Agere Systems PCI Soft Modem" card in my PC. Can Asterisk be configured to use this modem as a FXO/FXS port? If so, please tell me how.

Thanks
kcheenu

It seems that an Intel chip set is needed for the modem.

It only works with the specific Intel Chipset's listed in the above post, I have 4 Intel modems at home and none of them are compatible.

I bit the bullet and ordered an FXO card off eBay. Smile
