Internetcalls SIP Server

The latest offering from the Finarea / Betamax stable is
www.internetcalls.com currently with 45 free calling countries
Sip Server for anyone wishing to avoid using their API is ...
sip.internetcalls.com

Finarea strategies are no attractive anymore.
Expired current balance without any notification, new balance expires in 4 months, they remove free countries from one of their servers and adds it to another one to force people to buy balance again and again.

Agreed Juan and the expiry of credits is indeed four months.
But if you judge it carefully, use up the credit to make calls to mobiles and non free destinations that you would have made anyway then everything else you do within that 120 day period is free.
Easier for European based users to take full advantage I agree but not to be dismissed out of hand I think !

Remember to use port 80 and not 5060.

BTW, I just found out that 5060 also works!

Looks like no one is interested in this InternetCalls mainly because most of us has already smelled the Finarea's strategies of deceiving people into paying them the money.
Anyway, I just tried a single call to a US number and it terminated after 15 minutes, FYI.

I really don't need to defend Finarea/Betamax but I really do fail to see why anyone has a problem - If you understand the balance of the following ...
Negatives
No Customer service what so ever
No Support - Just a forum that may or may not answer your question
Credit Validity - 120 Days
List of Free Call Countries is dynamic dependent on their marketing promotions and the purchase of bundles of outbound minutes they negotiate.
Positives
Extensive List of Free Countries
Market rate to Mobiles and 'non free' destinations
Good Quality Switch
High Server Uptime
Free Inbound number (selected countries only)
Just compare this with Skype for example where you pay for all PSTN calls, pay for an inbound number, get no sip server, you support their system with your bandwidth AND your credit still expires after 180 days !
Which one smells worse now ?

Voipbuster and clones may be a very cheap service if you have to make many calls to foreigner regular phones.
If you just phone ocasionaly it may be expensive even more expensive than regular calls.
Anyway, for the moment, you are obliged to spend only 10€ every 120 days.
In the future this amount, probably, will be bigger, silently...
Up to you to know if it is good or not for your needs.
The rates per minute are from the lowest ones in the market

Honestly, they both smell with different odors (schemes)

BTW, InternetCalls only last 15 minutes. And, when I tried the redial, I got busy signals. So, looks like InternetCalls doesn't allow you to call more than 15 minutes continuously.

Since few days I can't connect anymore to sipdiscount or internetcalls iax server.
I used to use kiax for that (well, for internetcalls it never worked for me).
Is there anyone using sipdiscount or internetcalls iax server here ?

IAX support has been terminated long time ago, since Finarea/Betamax/whatever have switched to new termination provider which supports SIP only. As I can see, now both sip.sipdiscount.com and sip1.sipdiscount.com resolve to the same set of IP addresses. So, bye bye IAX.

I tried to configure kphone for sipdiscount but I don't succeed.
What should I put for :
User Part of SIP URL ?
for example
What else than kphone would you advise to use ?
I was using kiax and just bought credits so I am a bit upset that it doesn't work anymore.
Thanks !
