Hi Kingking and welcome to Voipuser
I suggest you start with some experimentation. Download the Voipbuster* or Voipstunt* client and test it with your equipment. Try out Skype* and see how you get on with that.
When you are feeling confident then download X-Lite and try and install Voipbuster/ Voipstunt and Voipuser into it.
At which point you will be ready to select a commercial provider. There are lots to choose from depending on your intended use, your location and your calling requirements.
*all available at their respective .com web address |

When you have downloaded the software from one of the sites mentioned above it becomes a question of entering the phone number into the space provided for that purpose and pressing the 'enter' key. Just as you must be doing at the moment with Skype
Note that there are no applications that permit unpaid calls to cellphones outside the USA and China (where such calls are paid for in part by the recipient).
Please read my post again as I think you missed 75% of it and some of the other resources in the FAQ section of the forum. I appreciate this is a new topic for you and we all have to start somewhere but no one can do the required reading for you. |

Could be any number of things ... Maybe the name you tried to register is already taken ? Maybe the billing server was down ? Perhaps try the new one www.internetcalls.com instead and if there is still a problem let them know with a feedback form to their customer service department. |

There is no such thing - at some point along the route, someone has to pay for the call.
If you're looking for who's offering silly deals at the moment, and throwing in free calls as a bonus to get you on board, Gray has pointed you to the best of the bunch. If some of them don't work, move on and try the next one. It can only be looked at as a short-term solution and anything you get out of it is a bonus

Kingking,
I think you need to describe exactly what you want and what the people you wish to call have. Where are they? Do they only have real phones or do they have computers connected to the internet?
If the latter is true then you have many options.
If they only have real phones then there are few choices and, as said by others already, those are very limited in how long they will be available. Even the available options will try (do) make you pay so they are not really free or restrict calls to 1 minute.
There a several companies that will give free calls for looking at advertising. One has just appeared under an old name www.hottelephone.com They offer calls to a few places. I have not used them (and do not plan to) and of course you use them at your own risk! |

Hi Kingking, Hope you enjoyed your trip
You really need to read through the Voipbuster forum as this regular problem is well covered there. There are some moderators at the VoipBuster site now and anything not already covered gets picked up on. |

Wow, I used to use this free service from the old HotTelephone to call Singapore for free back in 2000. BTW, the site looks dead to me. |

Yes, it looks like it is gone already. I used it for a while until it morphed into something different and then folded. It reappeared about a year ago offering free calls. In the long run it seems to me best to find a good provider and be prepared to pay a little for calls (after all, it used to cost $4.50 for 3 mins to call the UK from here - now it costs about 3 cents!). |
