What is the ISDN trunk connected to as In the version of bristuff if have used the bri_cpe_xxxx needed to be be ptmp to accept msn numbers.

BTW finally found out what the rx and tx figures are in zapata.conf, Its as I thought its gain in dBs,

No, I've only access to AAH here so I worked to that. Having said that I don't think there is anything that should stop it working with non-AAH, but as I don't have any experience of it I did not want make any claims that I could not substantiate.

I've no problem with that, but I would like to try and maintain a single version that caters for both if that is possible.

I see that as being down to the config you put into zapata(-auto).conf. I have not tried to do the configuration of /etc/zaptel or /etc/asterisk/zapata.conf at this point. I've been thinking about it but Andrew released the build script before I expected, which needed my attention to get it to a more usable form. Also I don't have enough information on the various mode and country configs to do a sensible job of the zapata.conf at this time (and it might not be practical to do so).

I've been making updates to this script such that it now has a few additional options as below:

install-ZAPHFC: install BRIstuff zaphfc support

usage:
install-ZAPHFC [-a <version>] [-f] [-N] [-o]
install-ZAPHFC -h

Options:
-a <version>: The version of Asterisk you want to patch with BRIstuff (e.g. 1.2.1)
The default is to use the version number from the currently installed Asterisk.
-f: Apply Florz's patch (http://zaphfc.florz.dyndns.org/). [EXPERIMENTAL] (Default no)
-h: This help screen
-N: Configure card for NT mode. [EXPERIMENTAL] (Default TE mode)
-o: Continue build, even though no HFC card is detected.

Just an update that this script now handles asterisk 1.0.x (later versions), 1.2.x and 1.4.x.

It works as a standalone build for asterisk or can build under Trixbox.

There's some help over on the TB site http://www.trixbox.org/forums/trixbox-forums/trunks/help-using-install-zaphfc-hfc-chipset-isdn-card-bristuff-drivers
