Hi All

I'm trying to provide call transfer service, but the problem is with CDRs dropped by Asterisk.

When I use blind transfer and when A calls to B and B transfers A to C, asterisk drops CDR as if A called to C - hmmmmm what if C is PSTN or mobile user, how can I charge B for transfering a call.

When I use attended transfer builded in SIP IP phone with scenario as abowe
Asterisk drops CDR as if B calls to A and to C, so B is charged twice even for
connection A to B.

I couldn't test attended transfer builded in Asterisk because it doesn't work and I see:
NOTICE[18165]: res_features.c:1003 ast_feature_request_and_dial: Don't know what to do about control frame: -1

Any suggestions and solution.

Has anybody put attended transfer into effect??

It is basic service for offices so I'm disappointed of Asterisk that it dosen't provide such a feature or it works improperly.

Tomash

Hi Tomarsh

Depending on version of * attended txfer is supported. If you want to PM me I am happy to do testing with you.

Your comments on CDR problems are also common on comercial PBXs, I spent a long time on this same problem with a major UK PTO and system maker.

Scenario A is what does happen as to attended transfer it does sound odd but I will have a try tomorrow

Attended Transfer has worked on AAH from at least ver 0.8, provided the 'phone supports the feature, but you do need to read the 'phone manual. If using Grandstream's you may need to update the firmware.

I'm also working at tracking the source of a transfer. So if you find a solution before me, please let us know?

Hi Ray / Tomash

Ok I have done the test calls and uts very similar to what I used to get some years ago..

It does make sence why its doing it but not what you want.

I have a few ideas which if I get time I will play with. The big problem with attended transfers is there is no unique identifier

I will keep everyone informed.

Hello,

When you make a blindtransfer, could you get your CDRs to be logged as you expected? I'm having the very same problem here.

We have similar issue and it applies to transfer and forwarding where there are 2 CDR's created for each call. Each CDR contains info related to the call but you find some in CDR1 such as the extension dialing the telco number but no transfered exten detail this appears in CDR2, but there is now way to link the 2 CDR's as they have different Unique ID's. Other problem is that each of them have seperate durations. Any normal TMS created will see this as 2 calls and one as a local call and another as a billed call but the local call CDR has the majority duration so billing will be way off. exanple below:

CDR1
""0117972050"<5001>","5001","0839890008","default-alludiout","SIP/5001-b7c14708","Zap/1-1","Dial","Zap/g1/0839890008|60","2007-11-13 17:32:45","2007-11-13 17:32:51","2007-11-13 17:32:58","13","7","ANSWERED","DOCUMENTATION","all","1194967965.1205",""
CDR2
"5001","5001","t","default-alludiout","Zap/1-1","SIP/5000-094be3e8","Hangup","","2007-11-13 17:32:45","2007-11-13 17:32:51","2007-11-13 17:33:19","34","28","ANSWERED","DOCUMENTATION","all","1194967978.1207",""
