Hi,

You dial calls as if you are in the uk - so for uk numbers, you just dial the number - eg: 01xxx xxxxxx.

If you want to dial an international number, you need 00 - for example to dial a US number, you'd do 00 1 xxx xxxx.

Once again, but this time I will try to be more specific.

TPSA's share in the number of telephone lines equalled to 90.3%, followed by Dialog and Netia with about 3.5% market share each and other operators sharing the rest of the market.

In inter-city connections, TPSA has 86.1% of the market share followed by Tele2 (4.5%), Netia (3.6%), Energis (3.4%) and NOM (2.4%). In international services, TPSA still enjoys 90.0% of the marketshare followed by Tele2 (6.6%) and Energis (1.8%) with others having 1.6% of the market.

There are three operators of mobile telephony in Poland: PTC, Polkomtel and Centertel. All three are treated as dominant operators and equally share the mobile market. Vodafone has almost 20% share in Polkomtel."

I e-mailed four, only two replied but only one answered (partly) my question. The answer was: You can't call 0844 UK numbers. The second that replied sent me a question: What is non-geographic number? I referred them to the definition in our Telecommunication Law. They didn't reply.

Hi All,

I AM HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE K-LITE 'CALL NOT APPROVED' ERROR MESSAGE WHILE ATTEMPTING TO DIAL ANY PSTN NUMBER. I HAVE CONFIGURED EVERYTHING AS PER THIS FORUM, AND WAS WONDERING WHETHER ANYBODY CAN ADVISE WHERE i AM GOING WRONG?

I HAVE TESTED INCOMING CALLS FROM A SIPPHONE ACCOUNT WHICH SEEM TO WORK FINE, BUT OUTGOING CALLS ONLY SEEM TO BE MADE TO #1<NUMBER/USER> ACCOUNTS! ENTERING ANY NUMBER GIVE THE 'CALL NOT APPROVED' ERROR.

WHAT ARE THE BASIC REQUIREMENTS FOR DIALLING OUT? I AM ASSUMING THIS IS NOT A NAT PROBLEM BECAUSE I CAN DIAL OUT USING SIPPHONE WITHOUT ANY ISSUES!

EVERYTHING ON THIS FORUM SUGGESTS JUST DIALLING DIRECTLY UK NUMBERS, OR 00<COUNTRY><AREA><NUMBER> BUT IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE REQUIRED? ALSO ARE THERE ANY TEST LOCATIONS TO DIAL?

THANKS,

MARK....

Mark,

First of all please don't use caps all the time in a forum post this is really making your postings look bad/shouting and probably the reason you haven't got an answer to your post yet.

Are you able to receive calls on your 0844 number that you got with your voipuser account ?

You are talking about SIPphone.com but i think they may have put in place all sorts of NAT proxy's which we haven't.

Also make sure you are using the proper account/line if you have multple accounts setup.

Regards,

Tj

Hi tjardick,

Apologies for the caps - I didn't notice that I did that!!!

I can recieve incoming calls from the sipphone account through x-lite on another by dialling evansm [!at] voipuser.org (replace the [!at] with a @), however I have not tried dialling using the 0844 number (would this be from a landline?)

I have very little knowledge about NAT proxies, but I attempted connecting a laptop directly to my billion 5100 router/modem & configuring port forwarding for all ports to the local address of my pc. After doing all of this I still had the same problem!

Hi All,

I noticed this the mention of removing #1 from the dial prefix, but I assumed it was the #1 which was appearing in the call window when I chose the voipuser connection!. It turns out that there are more options in the configuration screen of X-Lite which can only be accessed by clicking a down arrow on the left hand side of the SIP Proxy config page!

Once I found this there is a setting in there for dial prefix - I removed the #1 as suggested and it is working fine!

Thanks a lot for the advice from Dean / Tjardick!

Regards,

Mark....

I was having problems with speech cutting out from me when on a call to a UK land line. I could hear the other person speaking fine. so having done some research I changed the audio default in the registry(winxp pro) from radio quality to CD quality. hey presto problem solved, all my land line connections could hear me over my x-lite without cut out.

But, woo is me, now the incoming speech is intermittent! my broadband is up to speed, they hear me fine but i lose on in every ten words they say.

Any suggestions would save me pulling any more of my hair out and be greatly appreciated.

You already have the 00 in there, don't add it twice...

Hello,

Tied calling Guadalajara Mexico (0052 33 xxxx xxxx) but got the 404 error. To test if my SIP account I tried Denmark and that worked fine so it should be active.

Does anyone know what's wrong?

Thanks

Hmm didn't think that would be nessesary as it worked from the server in England to Denmark as I thought that showed that the soft- and hardware was working as it should.

My setup....covers alot of things but here goes hopefully some of it is what you are asking for. The connection is 2048/512 kbps, router Cisco SOHO 77 but my ip is set to the ip where everything is routed, the software is X-Lite on windows 2000.

Hope that answers the question if not then just ask again.

Thanks.
