I'm new to this and have been surfing around trying to find a glossary or any forum thread that just gives out some v basic info plus a glossary beyond SKYPE and VOIP. Then maybe I'll be able to understand all the posts! Thank you.

We didn't get around to doing a Glossary yet because there are already such a lot of similar net resources. If you search 'Voip Glossary' in Google there are literally thousands. Here are a few I thought were useful ...
Thanks so much for the referrals. I'm off to do some studying and will be back when I'm fully armed with knowledge! But did order a VOIP phone from eBay based on info gleaned from this site - so many thanks!
