Hi Kijaz,

We cannot do this at the moment - we have some other server issues that we need to take care of first.

If it's possible, we'll look at binding additional ports at a later time.

At the moment, stability is the most important issue. In the meantime, you might wish to put some pressure on your ISP to release the block.

Hi,

I have been using VoIP in Pakistan since January 2005 - and NEVER experienced any problems. Whatever is suggested here about PTCL blocking 5060 port, etc. - is a nonsense. All internet traffic ultimately goes via PTCL as they control Pakistan's ONLY internet gateway in Karachi...
I SUCCESSFULLY used the following providers:
- voipfone (my favorite - for their rates, SMS callback and forwarding)
- babble (my second favorite - for voice quality)
- sipgate.co.uk (favorite for a free UK *local* number but not for rates)
- stanaphone
- sipphone (love their daily free 5 minutes)
- voiptalk
I don't want to advertise any of them - I later found a couple of *much cheaper* while equally reliable SIP providers. Just wanted to say you have to fiddle around with the configuration of your soft-/hardware and not blame PCTL or whoever.
I used SNOM 190, loved the sound quality and 7 lines but can easily imagine a less buggy firmware...
Forgot to add: my IP was Micronet (Islamabad).
Regards,

Kacper

I just read that 5060 got blocked around 9 September.
I left Pakistan in August - till then everything worked fine. Possible it's not working anymore Sad
Sorry again.

Dear Sirs it is for sure that PTCL (paktelecom) state monopoly has blocked the 5060 ports at the internet exchange , so ultimately all the ISP's 5060 ports are blocked. So please help me and guide me how to overcome this problem. I am using Worldcall cable (broadband) + Cisco router WRT54G + SIPURA SPA 3000 + Galaxy voice service. Please i need help to resolve this problem. thanks. info [!at] fuads.com (replace the [!at] with a @)
