Voipuser is not a replacement for a commercial VoIP service, the reason we are here is to allow folks to test equipment, experiment with it and to discuss VoIP matters.
We provide a server for you to log into and will help as much as we are able to with the technical issues that arise.
You even get a few outbound minutes to play with but this is not guaranteed and is often misunderstood by freeloaders as being 'free calling' which it most certainly is not.
With the best of intentions the whole thing is held together by a small group of unpaid and hard working enthusiasts each of whom has a day job to do before they can devote their free time. It's a shame we don't have the facility to do a itemised breakdown of specific calls showing routing and cost but as you can imagine we rely on people like yourself to donate time and energy and no one has offered to do that bit of coding yet.
The rating system is also quite a complex algo and is dynamic but with elements of delay. Anyone who wants to make frequent calls to PSTN reliably should really be looking for a commercial VoIP provider that can offer the routes and services demanded.
In the meantime we can offer you a friendly forum, the combined expertise of all forum users, access to some great industry info, a test server, UK inbound and inum facilities. |

Calling your 0703 number to improve your credit is not very efficient as the call is very expensive and only part of it gets credited to Voipuser. If that is how you got your rating up to 10 is must have cost quite a bit. I generally do not use Voipuser for calls (except when PSTN phone fails as it did a few days ago!) but rather use a commercial carrier. There seem to be many grey routes to india at present and a wide variation in charges. I very much doubt if our carrier uses grey routes so the rate to india is much higher that the ones that you see advertised by some providers. Even Skype charges about 9 cents/min. |

Now I am routing incoming call to my 703 number to a sip account. As far I know routing to sip is more efficient rather than routing to a normal number. But My rating still not increasing. |

You must be calling something that is a lot more expensive than you think or perhaps the other possibility is that you system is not hanging up properly. |

You should read my post above for an explanation as to why |

Perhaps a partial explanation.....
The ranking is quoted to one significant digit and the incoming points to 4 decimal places. Each call that you have made gives you 0.0500 credit so you may have to make up to as many as about 20 such calls to see a change in your ranking. If you are making outgoing calls at the same time it might take a while before you see a change. |

I am making such inbound call 30 per day.And in the in the mean time I have not made any call .So the rating should increase in +1 in every two days.
Well, I don't want to discuss anymore regarding rating. If it is increasing then it is good for me if no then it is worst.
By the way Thank you all. |
