I am slightly confused. My account rating is -0 and I have barely made any outbound calls using my account. Here is the number I dial from my US phone to call my VoIP User account 011448449108710. Am I dialing the wrong number for inbound calling? I don't understand I have had way more inbound time than out, or so I thought. Is there some other number I should be dialing from my US phone? I really don't want to abuse this service by accidentally dialing the wrong num to call my account. If I am dialing the right number then why is my account in the negative?

PSTN number: 08449108710
Inum number: +883510009108710

PSTN Inbound Numbers:

08447045711
08700683309

Both of those numbers terminate to my sip account.

Hi

0 is neutral when it starts dipping lower you will see. as long as you are connecting then you are dialing the correct number.

The Voipuser incoming DIDs are premium numbers. They usually cannot be called from normal landlines from outside the UK but when they can be called it is usually quite expensive and this is not a good way to boost you account. If you live abroad and really want to use Voipuser for outgoing calls and testing then it is possible to donate to Voipuser and generate some credit but if you only want to make outgoing calls then it is better to use a commercial voip provider. The best use for the numbers that you have is for friends and relatives in the UK to call you as the call does not cost them much and it contributes to your call credit.
We do allow a few test calls without incoming call credit for testing your system and this will make your credit negative. You will eventually get cut off if you have no contributing incoming calls.

Once again Dibsmft thank you. I am glad that you are such an active user and are willing to answer my questions. Also thanks to Ianplain. I have Vonage which I have been using to call the inbound number. I left the phone off the hook for at least an hour worth the time, so hopefully my pops won't be surprised by a large phone bill. Although it shouldn't be a problem since it's supposed to get free calling all around the globe, and the UK is one of those places. Since I am calling in from a US Vonage phone does that mean no matter what it won't generate revenue for you guys here? I am a fairly young enthusiast (-18,) and I don't have a lot of money. I was hoping I could generate income by calling in from my Vonage. I don't have any friends in the UK so it will be impossible for me to contribute otherwise. If someone is willing to call my inbound from the UK and it doesn't cost you anything I would appreciate it very much. I only need to use this for emergency calls like if I'm somewhere where there's internet (i.e. coffee shop) and I need a ride home. It will save me the hassle of looking like a dork asking peeps for their phone. This will only be for a bit until I get a PSTN gateway of my own.

It seems that the call that you made may not have been connected and all you had was dead air. There is a ** greyed out footnote on the Vonage page about their plans that says "Excludes certain call types such as calls to non-geographic and premium numbers" and the Voipuser numbers are premium numbers.
Using the Vonage world rate finder on their web site for your 844 number it gives a rate of "For this cellular call, the per minute rate is $0.28." Apart from the fact that the number is not a cellular number, even for a cellular number, it is very high.
Voip calling charges are very low, voip to voip calls are normally free and calls to US numbers are often less that 1 cent/min. Your best plan may be to get your own voip provider (the provider that I use charges 1.1 cent/min to the USA and 0.5 cents/min to Canada and charges by the second) and $5 deposit can last a very long time.

The calls did go through fine for me and I could hear myself on both ends. Unfortunately my inbound calls did not produce any income for the site. I guess I'll just have to wait for a bit, or fork out some cash for skype/gizmo. I used to get free calling with gizmo but I had to call an inbound sip for the other user to call their landline/cell. That wasn't bad, but google has taken over and free calling is not enabled. I am currently waiting for a request to see what google voice is like.

I think "I used to get free calling with gizmo" calls were removed sometime before Google took over Gizmo. It probably generated little no indirect income for Gizmo. If your ATA was not locked to Vonage you could call it directly using SIP (as mine can be called) so using SIP at both ends you would not need Gizmo. In the US it is also possible, via iNUM or SipBroker, to call SIP users from a regular phone.

I have sent you a pm.
