Hello, and let me first say thaks for taking the time to read and possibly answer my questions.

I am starting a home business of answering calls for clients, the idea is to have every client forward there phone to there very own dedicated voip number which I will answer for them via a switchboard (software or hardware), this means that I need a solution that i can add new numbers to everytime i get a new client.

I guess it boils down to I want to have multiple VOIP lines coming into one main switchboard. Can you please help provide me with some solutions out there that would help meet my needs, or at least provide me with the technical aspects of what it is I need.

Thank you again for you time.

Hi

Best option is to use an asterisk based IPPX then you can tag the call as as they come in. It would take a while to type up how to set it up , But even a basic Trixbox will do this easily

depending on your requirement (Especially what volume of calls you will have) you can use an IPPBX as suggested in the comments above or you can work with a voip provider that lets you use its switch.
Also if this is a call center environment that you are looking at, then may be pbx is not the best way to go. There are call center solutions that you can use for the inbound calls and do ACD. But again, it depends on your clients requirements and the volume and what you wnat to achieve.
Hope this helps

Suggested solution: trixbox, elastic, pbxinaflash etc

Hi,

What you probably need is a call centre VoIP service where you can keep adding as many new numbers as you wish. You can begin with as few lines as you want and add as many as you wish depending on your requirement.

You can also have a call forwarding option which will enable calls to be automatically forwarded to a specific number.

It really depends on what your budget is as you can have a 'Hosted' service which doesn't require a huge initial investment or an on-site hardware or maintenance cost. Just a low monthly fee.

Or you could go for a IP PBX (Small Business) service which includes the hardware and features such as unified communications, Interactive Voice Response (IVR),ACD queues &
web-based administration, plus heaps more.

Your welcome Redspain

Try to use asterisk based IPPX. Then you can search for directions in the internet to use this kind of setup. This kind of setup is easier than the other one because you can tag calls as soon as they come in. Search for VOIP users and try to communicate with their technicians to find out more on you needs.
