Good afternoon!
I'm new to the forum and SIP subject. I have router like in subject and would like to call other SIP numbers on other servers EG. i have account by IPtel and would like to call Gizmo number. I've read that in order to do that. But the problem is: i don't know how to pass * sign with which all SIP servers prefixes begin to the line. I've read that i must set up some dial plans. And now it's problem. How do that properly in this model? I've looked through option and couldn't find it.
If i've done something wrong - sorry maibe i don't know all required informations, but i'm interested on the subject and would like to use VOIP Smile
Thanks

Welcome to Voipuser forums.

I think the dialplan for the Fritz box is fairly basic. Probably the simplest place may be to insert them as speed dial numbers if that is possible. The information here may be useful

Also, try dialing

*# and then the star code that you wish to dial.

Thanks for weloming!
I've tried both options
When i set * as speed dial, telephone throws message that this is incorrect number format or bussy tone is played.
When i try the *#* method i can hear signal of call failing - famous three tones - and in Fritz's log there's stated that no path could be matched.

Hmmn. Trouble with the Fritz is that they are not sold here so I have never played with one.

Perhaps

*# pause for dialtone then dial your *code

There is some discussion here...

Let us know if you get it to work by posting here. The question has been asked before.

Hi!
No way! They tell me to dial *# so i'll be on the line and now star should be passed as sign to the line not as Fritz commnd. Okay i dial *747 as code for Gizmo network then my gizmo numer. As an efect older phones by siemens and very simple cble phone by Dorro make failed call sound and log of Fritz throws information about not matched path and Fritz Phones displays error "Numer unallocated". I guess that daling matter is okay now it just doesn't look for SIP number. In log it displays that i'm calling to the same server i'm in while i try to call other server. I know that because when i call using speed dial which works to someon on different server it displays address of server i'm calling too, so it just looks for number with such an begining on the same server or i don't know where. Now how to force it to tread star as sign which tell it "Call server with this code!"
By the way: i don't know how to insert puse sign LOL
Anyway thanks for help
