Have been unable to recover my Voipuser service on my old Zoom X5v so have bought a Thompson 716i.
Setup pages are rather different so does anyone know how to set the Thompson up for Voipuser please?

I still need an answer to this question.
The Thompson requires and IP address for the sip registrar and for the sip proxy. Please also confirm your port is still 5060.

I still cannot get my voip modem to register on Voipuser. I have now been through two modems and spent copius hours trying every variation I can think of. I have checked with my ISP in case they were blocking it but they insist they are not.
Clearly this is a technology that simply does not work. I must stop banging my head against a brick wall before I make myself ill. Can I ask you to please refund the £5 you hold in my account.

Please could you post your settings so we can take a look. (Remove or overwrite any passwords)

Many tens of thousands of people use Voipuser with no problem - it must be something you are doing wrong.

We don't have accounts, our server costs together with the cost of making outbound calls are paid from revenue obtained from incoming calls and from donations which are applied across the board to provide a free test and experiment platform for anyone interested in using VOIP.

You have access here to quite a few industry professions that in the outside world charge big $$$'s per hour. Let's see if we can't justify your fiver.

Please post as much info as you have - the challenge is on !

How are you trying to connect? What Voip client are you using?
Will any voip service register? Eg. Voxalot or Gizmo (give free accounts). If you have no success there then it must be something to do with your set up and you should consult the manual for the device.

If I remember correctly, voipuser does work on the Zoom that you have the Thompson should work as it is.

From an older post here ...

http://www.voipuser.org/forum_topic_5109.html

It says SIP URL and Username have to be the same

Please give it a try

Some further resources here ...

http://www.thomsonbroadbandpartner.com/ ... .php?id=47 see especially the config guide VOIP

Can you check your Voipuser account as well please but testing it in XLite on a PC - we had some issues a while back with a few accounts requiring a password reset.
