I had to go and buy a JAVA development certificate today and noticed this option to buy an Apple certificate:-

Quote:

Apple Developer Certificate

These certificates can be used by Apple developers with a future version of the Apple Mac OS to sign software for electronic distribution.

I haven't noticed this before. Is this indicative of Apple wishing to use iTunes to distribute applications for Mac OS X as well as iPhone/iPod Touch ?

It would make perfect sense to me - I did wonder if that would happen.
