Yes ... run STUN. You know that at least you can connect if you use it. What we need to see now is the set up that you are using for X-lite to find the reason for the 1 minute call problem...
try

IP address: Discover global address
Use STUN Server stun.voipuser.org
Enable ICE
Specified ports : 5060 - 5080
and to never use x-tunnels..

more or less how my MS Windows X-Lite is set (I have forwarded ports and use STUN)

STUN Server does not work for me.

there is no problem when forwarding 5060 UDP port to internal static IP (with out STUN).

With some routers you really need to forward ports and STUN will not work. Did you manage to make calls?
Check that NAT keep alive is running in the router and set in the router.

I did manage to make calls, but all dropped after 1 minute.
The NAT keep alive (something I have never tinkered with) does seem like a plauseable answer to this.

I will do some digging around online and see if I can get mine set to lower than 1 min and advise

thanks y'all

OK, so after much tinkering I am now able to make calls that are longer than a minute... which is a massive improvement. Thanks..

Let me break it down in case anyone else has the same problem in the future.

On my D-Link DSL-2640T Router I set port forwarding on Port 5060 using TCP/UDP

In X-Lite I used the following config in the Topology Tab :

IP address: Discover global address
Use STUN Server stun.voipuser.org
Enable ICE
Specified ports : 5060 - 5080
and to never use x-tunnels..
