Hi all,

I am using X-lite client,i can make outgoing calls to echo test at 08449863246 and to PSTN numbers as normal, But after one minute the call is disconnecting itself, same issue with SIP to SIP in & out calls.
i can receive calls from PSTN numbers normally.

could you please help me to solve this problem?
thank you.

Sounds like you have a NAT device that is only keeping ports open for 60 seconds.

What is your configuration ?

Generally commercial providers have far more advanced NAT traversal systems that we have here (they're expensive).

Are you port forwarding? Using STUN ?

you have to forward 5060 port manually to your internal computer IP address.
You must have a static IP address assigned to your computer.

You must have a static IP address assigned to your computer.

Port 5060 must not be blocked externally (it should not be by default). You only need an internal static IP if you use a router. You need to forward a port from your router for SIP but it does not have to be 5060 (internally) if it is already in use. Try forwarding for SIP 5060 UDP and for RTP 8000 - 8010 UDP (or port numbers of your choice but you will probably need to tell the client which) from your router to the client. The alternative is to use STUN (stun.voipuser.org).

OK, I think I have you, bu before I go messing about with my router let me be clear.

I have a static IP address.
I have already set port forwarding up for my "itunes".
I can easily set up another port for forwarding.

BUT I was already using STUN when I finally made a connection, but thought the 1 minute problem was caused by that so deleted the setting... do I have to use STUN and Port Forwarding?

If you are not keen on port forwarding you can turn on STUN again. What version of X-Lite are you using (I use the Linux version but I have the Windows version - both work here)? What configuration are you using?

I have version 3.0 build 53117

I think I can handle the port forwarding, just need to know if I use one (PF) or the other (STUN) or both (?).

Thanks!

In which case I am completely at a loss because nothing I seem to do is working....

Maybe if I decribe my exact set up it will help to diagnose the problem and therefor help me and anyone else with a similar issue.

My Router Set Up :
Rule Name : ITUNES

Protocol TCP
Port Start 39163
Port End 39163
Port Map 39163
Port Map End 39163

This port is open and working.....

I have tried setting up other ports for VOIP but I guess I have messed up somewhere

Rule Name : VOIP

Protocol UDP
Port Start 5059
Port End 5061
Port Map 5059
Port Map End 5061

Does this look right so far? I am really guessing not..... care to expand on what I have done to mess this so royally up?

OK... to X-Lite... I am using V3.0 as mentioned above

I am pretty certain I have configured the log in details correctly, so I won't bore you with those details.

With Domain Proxy I have set to "register" and set the Proxy to sip.voipuser.org

Jumping to Topology I have selected :
to use Local IP
Enable ICE
Specified ports : 5060 - 5061
and to never use x-tunnels..

This config is still giving me a time out after exacly 1m 04s everytime I dial.

I am at a complete loss... please help..
