VOIP protocol version

Hi,

I have lost touch with VOIP and intending to start out again.

Can anyone help me to calrify the latest version for SIP and H323 signalling protocols? Also what is the latest version for RTP?

Last time I used it in 2006 was SIPv2 and H323v4.

The main rfc is
http://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc3261.txt
But there are many extensions... separate rfcs

Why do you need version?! It must be backward compatible.
