BT voyager 2500v on BTbroadband

I am trying to configure this beast to work on voipuser without success.

Unfortunately I am stuck w/ bandit telecom as we live in the sticks where the wires are ancient and break often!

the firmware is 3.30.d.c (from puzbie's now defunct site.) I have tried to load various others with a partial success with dynalink 1046vw. the unit looks much more like the dynalink than the draytek as posted elsewhere on the site.

on my registration it says PSTN No 44*********9

the web interface on the router keeps asking me to register a phone No and passwd but then tells me that the details are not accepted.

What you have looks mostly OK. Try changing the SIP Registrar Address as indicated and the preferred codec to G711 default (how BT uses it).

I tried those tweaks, the problem seems to be that my router insists on the number being a uk 08449999999 format and doesn't accept 44849*.

I have succeeded on getting it to work with draytel.

Also it didn't work with the G711 codec, so that was swapped back to G729 and was fine.

Voipuser outgoing calls are still not available so 0044... will still be rejected. The service should be back to normal soon. The echo test number should work ( 08449863246 ). G729 is OK but sometime not available and G711 is nearly always the default for voip providers. Normally the voip client should select the codec by "talking" with the server.
