Hello everyone.I am new to this forum and to voip world as well. I am currenty having a voip-in uk geographic number which starts with 0203 and which I got for free from sipgate.co.uk. I live in UK but I am from Easten Europe and all my relatives are back there. I was thinking to buy a follow me gsm gateway like for ex. burnside t910, to send it back home, to fit a local sim card inside the gateway with loads of bundle minutes ,to have the gateway linked to my voip-in number and to call that number every time I need to call someone on his mobile back home. The problem is the only way to change the number I wish to call is by sending a SMS to the gsm gateway every time and this will make the changes for the sim installed inside to divert to the number I wish but this is no practical. I was wondering if there is a simmilar "device" which when called into via my voip-in 0203 uk number will ask me for the number I want to call to and then will dial it for me from the local sim card installed in it. That way I will save a lot of money as dialling my 0203 uk voip-in number will be free for me and dialling the local mobile number from the local sim inside the gateway will be free as well as I will have the included free minutes. My only costs will be the gateway as an one off cost and the monthly rental for the local sim card.
Please help me as I am very desperate to solve this problem.
cheers

Welcome to Voipuser forums.

You might find it simpler to use an ATA that will accept you call in Eastern Europe and then redirect the call to the local PSTN there at local rates. I depends on where you are calling and what the rates are I guess.

I see what you are getting at (I think) but it looks to me like a complex way to make a phone call. Is this the kind of arrangement you are looking for?
