Hi Dean/TJ,
Just wondering if you can get the UK Freephone outbound working as a priority as I think it's one of the few things that's hard to "route around" and something I (and probably others) used quite a bit. Most of the calling card or even VoIP providers have extortionate rates because they lump any 08xxx number (including freephone) into the "premium/mobile" rate.
Alternatively.. do you guys have any good suggestions for calling freephone other than voipuser? FWD has given up the ghost now for all intents and purposes and even before that they never were reliable at terminating freephone on a consistant basis.
Thanks |

I've given up on this working any time soon. Does anyone know of another good free route for 0800/etc.. freephone UK numbers? Any info would be appreciated. I'm not too concerned about the landline etc.. calls but don't really fancy paying the "mobile" phone/premium rates (they lump all 08xxx together as one rate typically) most VoIP and calling cards charge for freephone calls that probably cost them next to nil to terminate!
Thanks |

Can you try it using VoIP User again now?
I think we've cracked most of the bugs. CLID isn't working properly, but calls should route through now.
Thanks,
Dean |

Hi Dean,
This still isn't working, nor are any outbound calls to landlines. I get "403 PSTN call denied" when using X-Lite.
One other thing, my account rating is still completely FUBAR, it's at 1 when it should be at 10.
Can you have a look at my account and see what's going on? If everything should be working, then it's an account specific problem.
Thanks. |

Can you place a test call for me to a landline and let me know the approximate date/time you did so and I'll run a trace to see what's going on. |

Hi Dean,
Just tried two numbers, first from X-Lite then from Sipura SPA (PAP2). The time is 12:50 GMT and here are the numbers
0800 00 55 00
020 7500 5500
(both are Citibank UK main banking phone numbers, good for testing). |

Just tried, had mixed results. First three calls from SPA/PAP2 failed:
0800 00 55 00
020 7500 5500
001801915xxxx (my mobile)
Then had a call to the mobile just "blip" ring the phone and drop with re-order signal. After that one went through (but did not answer it), strange thing is continued ringing my mobile for about 30 seconds after I "hung up".
After that had success to the two other UK numbers with both PAP2 and X-Lite (which also showed the same "continuing to ring after hangup" when I called my mobile). |

Thanks - I'll have a dig through the logs. Bit busy today but should get around to that on Saturday. |
