Where do i start?

Hi guys,

Im new to this forum...and please forgive me for maybe posting in the wrong section...


This site has too much info for me to understand...

I read all the sticky's and some of the users posts....
I did not understand much of it :S

So that's why i wanted to ask here...

im interested in makin voip calls, i dont know where to start?what do install?where to register?

Any help will be appreciated..

Welcome to Voipuser Forums.


You can start by obtaining as copy og X-Lite, Zoiper or any other good voip client (most offer free versions). Then, read the intructions on this site for setting ite client up on your system and give it a try with a test call (test call to Voipuser is echotest [!at] sip.voipuser.org (replace the [!at] with a @) or 08449863246.

ok..i've setup the sip account and all...says your nick name is batori...and all...but when i do the test call...it says THE PERSON YOU ARE CALLING IS UNAVAILABLE

Does voipuser indicate that you are logged in on the "My SIP Account" page? Who or what were you calling?

Try calling echotest [!at] sip.voipuser.org (replace the [!at] with a @)
enter as

sip:echotest@sip.voipuser.org

Press the space bar (if you have to) to enter text.
