hi, i have managed to setup the pap2 with a corded and a cordless phone. Unforunately, i have just bought a new cordless phone as the previous one was not very loud.

Anyway this cordless is known as the magicbox columbo. It definately should work with the pap2 and sipgate as someone has already posted here:-

Now this is a weird problem...i don't get a dial tone but if i ring it from a different number, the phone shows the number incoming, but when answered its a dead line with no tone or sound.

Now the phone must be working because otherwise how else am i getting an incoming call?

I'm sure 99% its some setting on the pap2 as i was messing with them a few days ago to setup my previous cordless.

Any takers?

Before you change anything on the PAP2 test the pretty new phone on your regular BT or other line where you know for sure that it is working.

WOW! Your a star dibsmft. I spent a whole day tearing my hair out thinking i've ended up with crap equipment, when all along it was the LINE wire.

For those who have the same problem, please change your line wire as that could be the reason for silence, dead tones.

thanks again m8
