Could someone please tell me if it is possible to make the normal speaker the default option when making or receiving a VOIP call on a Pirelli Dual phone? Now, it defaults to the loudspeaker, which introduces echo, even with the volume turned down. There is an option on the screen during a VOIP call to switch to "normal." When I make the switch, the echo disappears. It would be handy to make "normal" the VOIP default. I can't find any settings for this. Thanks in advance for any help with this.

Welcome to Voipuser forums.

You are the second person that I have seen ask this question. I don't know anything about these phones but I would expect perhaps the speaker to come on to ring and then go off when the phone is picked up. I hope someone can give you an answer.

I cannot seem to find a good manual for it anywhere. It seems to be a (perhaps) relative of some that Netgear make.

Thanks for the welcome.

I have figured out what was wrong. Since you point out that I am the second person who has asked this question, I thought I would post the solution.

I misunderstood the screen. When it read "loudspeaker" I thought it meant that the loudspeaker was on. In fact, it was offering the option to turn the loudspeaker on. Similarly, when "normal" appeared on the screen, it meant that the loudspeaker was on, not that the normal speaker was on.

In short, I had it backwards. I am not quite sure if this was my fault or should be attributed to bad software design. At any rate, now that I understand how it works, all is fine.

Thanks for posting the solution. At least you were not the only one who had the problem.
