This really is a more detailed re post.
I am trying to use x lite to commuicate between 2 pc's which are linked via a switch with static IP addresses. The PC's are running WinXP with no internet connection. I am usure what type of of user account to use?
Any help would be good
I have also thought about using Skype and Googletalk but they seem to require a web connection to enable account login in too.
Thanks

OT

If you search for "Windows free intercom" you will get lots of hits. X-Lite allows calls IP to IP and should not need to be on a network so might be worth a try. I can't help you much as I am a Linux user but I assume XP allows simple transfer of text messages machine to machine .. would that be enough?

You could try <<snip self promotion >> with X-Lite, or Windows Messenger works fine on XP.
