For the last 4 days my asterisk system cannot register on the iax2 server gateway.tescointernetphone.com. the tesco softphone seems to be registering and working properly. Have they changed anything on their server side?

to register I use in iax.conf:

register => 020XXXXXXXX:PASSWORD@gateway.tescointernetphone.com

Hi

you need to do a sip debug of it trying to register. the reason will be in it and then it can be taken forward.
They may have made a change at their end.

Thanks for the reply Ian. I am connecting through iax2 not sip but I tried both and both of them timeout. This was working up to the 17th of February.

How have you connected the phone? Is it connected to a router (I so what kind). Have you a computer connected to the system, if so what is it have you run any new programs on it, is it on all the time?

Get your trunk from
https://www.tescointernetphone.com/account/?reset=true;
Then

Craete Iax Trunk
enter outbound Callid If you Like

Outgoing Settings
Trunk Name = Tesco
Peer Details
host=gateway.tescointernetphone.com
qualify=80
secret=s1n3ad
type=peer
username=01183320153
nat=yes

Incomming Settings
User Context = tesco number (eg 0118332X150)
User Details
context=from-pstn
type=user

Registration string
0118332X150:yourpassword@gateway.tescointernetphone.com

put your number and passwork the above wont work !

I changed qualify=60 to qualify=80 as i kept on getting (lagged) and it seems fine now i might try and put it back to 60 n see if you works any better.
