When I first saw click to call I thought it was amazing. What a cool technology!

But I'm wondering, is it everything it's cracked up to be?
How many people use it? The the end user, what is the advantage over picking up their phone and dialing?

Connection problems? Your call center takes too long to pick it up?

I'd just like to hear about people's experiences and thoughts on it. My company sells Click to Call, but i myself am not really sold on it if you know what I mean.

Therein lies the rub, my feeling is that this is a 'marginal utility' product designed to wring the last ounce of sales potential from a site. It has to be sold to web designers and not web users and whilst these people may consider incorporating a free application or script (of which there are many) most would not consider suggesting to their client that it would be money well spent to add C2C.

I think it depends a lot on the target audience for the particular site, if you are selling to a tech biased audience then chances are they may have audio equipment attached to their PC, most others probably not.

Like VOIP itself C2C was perhaps perceived as a magic solution that could be oversold with plenty of hype. The reality is different, clients are more cynical and the cost of marketing becomes a major factor.

Well, I have to disagree with you about marketing to web master only.
EDIT:Self promotion .. violation of forum rules,
which also happens to be something I'm working on allows anyone to embed the "loip me" (think skype me) icon anywhere.

This is useful for both web maters, and regular user.

Call Quality sometimes create mess with VoIP. Customer feels satisfied that i am being paid low for using it, forgetting the fact that he has to make 2 or more calls just because of the poor quality.
