I have two telecommuting employees who I have set up with ESI Remote IP Phones which are currently plugged directly in to their standard Linksys router. Lately I've noticed that there is major interference when talking with them, constant breaking up, echo, underwater sounding, and I am wondering if there is a specific type of router that will recognize and differentiate the VOIP signal from the data and clear up this problem.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks.

Mike

Welcome to Voipuser forums.

What Linksys router (model) are they using? What connection speed (up and down) do they have? What audio codec are you using?
