It seems that a couple of numbers dialled do take more time than nececessary to ring.
Voip.ms support has not reponded to this query.
Any ideas?

What are you using for an ATA? There is a setting I recall that allows for early ring (back).

Have you experimented with putting a hash (#) at the end of the number? Some systems wait for further character entry before committing the call. In some equipment this character over rides that and forces an immediate call.
