Hello Everybody !
I am a globe 7 user since last 1 year and find the service quite satisfactory until i changed my ISP recently.

The problem is that whenever i got connected to my new isp and try to make a call from globe 7 the audio becomes one way( I cant hear though the destination no is ringing). It works fine with my old ISP's connection which is a fiber optic direct to home type.

My new connection is ADSL with a dlink router DSL-2640U. I did everything possible regarding port forwarding and NAT for the router but failed.

I made a mail to globe 7 and they just ask me to increase the bandwidth of network and for this matter i think my new connection's bandwidth is more than enough.

Interesting part is that some times i can hear well in the globe 7 even in my new connection and if i reboot the router, the problem again arises.

How can i get rid of this? Should I change the router ?
Pls Help me ..

The fibre optic cable can give you much higher speeds but I only have ADSL (not a fast one at that) and voip runs fine. Check the speed of your voip
http://www.speedtest.net/
just in case.

Try forwarding ports 5060 UDP and 8000 - 8010 UDP from the router to your computer and run STUN. See what effect that has.

Thanks for reply .

I have tested the speed. In ADSL both up and down are almost 3 times than the fiber connection.

Also tried to forward the mentioned ports to my PC's LAN ip address using port forwarding and NAT

Downloaded the port checker from http://www.voipuser.org/port_forward_tester.html but i think the sister server is not responding. SO i use this http://www.canyouseeme.org/ to check the ports. But it shows closed port 5060 , 8000 and 8001.

I have checked the same ports many times with different online port checkers in my old connection which also shows the said ports as closed , still globe 7 works fine with the old net .

So what may be the exact matter preventing the voice audible in the new connection ?

Yes, but were you using the same router? You give the impression that the router is new. Did you try running STUN (perhaps Globe 7 does not offer it). You could certainly try another router or try to turn its internal firewall off if that is an option.

I agree the router is different as well as the service provider.Globe 7 doesnot provide STUN. Already disabled the routers firewall and my PC's firewall. i must change the router for the new effects to check. Let me Try it out.

I found in a few sites( After googling) that some of the firmwares of dlink routers have problem regarding port forwarding .

Though i upgrade the firmware output is same as before..
