OK had an issue last night as normally my phone did not ring and went directly to voip.ms voicemail.
My setup entails on the 4th ring it goes to my phone answering machine and it only goes to voip.ms system voicemail if I am on the phone or if DSL/VOIP are down.
At the time i was streaming a video and downloading/uploading files in the background.
I should contact voip chat support, but my inclination is its a waste of keystrokes. |

If you saturated you high speed internet streaming a video and down/uploading then it is possible that the calling voip system could not set up communications (or timed out) with your phone (or client) and would thus default to voice mail. Have you reserved sufficient bandwidth for voip? |

You may be able to "ration" your bandwith in your router set up or perhaps you can set QOS restrictions.
When I had similar problems I simply restricted the bandwidth to the user that was causing the problem and reserved bandwith for the voip phone. After that there were no further problems. |

I have a Linksys ATA 2102.
Not sure how to set up QOS restrictions |

So that ATA has a built-in router.
I have an SPA 3102 with built-in router. The internal router works well under light load but struggles a bit under heavy load.
You can try setting QOS on the 2102 to TBF and use the G-729 codec when available and set Max. Uplink to 128. |
