Hi Javed,

If both sides are on broadband you can use a VoIP service end to end (eg Skype, or us even).

If you need to call a landline or a mobile then there is no such thing as free, although you can probably get "very cheap". Also see:-

What is a good deal to/from Australia depends very heavily on your calling patterns. Internally there are fixed fee untimed calls so an Australian voip provider might work. If there are to be many calls to you from Australia then an Australian DID pointed to your computer (eg. India where the Aus -> In PSTN call is realtively expensive) might work. For calling computer to computer, then as Dean has said, SIP only calls voipuser to voipuser, or Skype to Skype calls are free.

I heard many Indians are using Rebtel and Nimbuzz, since they provides much cheaper rates. However, i have used Truphone, jajah and Vopium for calling India and Malaysia, and the call cost was almost 80-90% less than a normal average international call. I hope anyone of these will work out for you.
