As reported by the BBC, The Times and elsewhere, Steve Jobs is to take medical leave of absence from Apple to recover from his health problems.
Speculation about a return of his cancer had been ignited once again by Apple announcing that Jobs would not speak at MacWorld this year. Many reporters and pundits lamented the Apple performance at MacWorld in 2009, and it is widely thought that none of the senior management at Apple have the vision or charisma to carry the company forward without him.
It is not known whether Jobs will return to the top job, and the Apple share price fell back on the announcement.
We can but wish him well and hope that his health problems are short-lived. |
