Welcome to Voipuser forums.

First of alll in case you thought otherwise, Voipuser has no connection with Voipdiscount or any other voip provider. Voipuser is independent and non-profit. It might be worth reinstalling the software because the error seems to be coming from some kind of input error. Meanwhile, you should report the problem to Voipdiscount.

You did not do a complete reinstall. The new install is still finding the old configuration files. You probably need to find the configuration files and copy then to a bakup directory. Then uninstall the voip client program completely and then reinstall. Please give more information about your system, router, operating system etc. Without that it is difficult to help further.

voipbuster.com is owned by the same company (Betamax) as the company you aer trying to use. Create an account for free at voipbuster.com and then use the forums at https://forum.voipbuster.com/

No need to create a fresh account as all the Betamax group companies share their problems on the Voipbuster forum. (In fact they seem to share their servers too in many instances).

List of them all here, with destination info ...

I have the same problem. For no reason, it just doesnt let me connect. The message appears simply as "Parameter is incorrect" and then the program crashes and i have to close it from task manager. It was working perfectly before and now just doenst work.

I have written to the tech support but got no answer..
Did anyone solved the problem?

Thanks

I have not seen a solution posted here.
The Betamax group of companies do not seem to be very good at replying to emails. (I have never got a reply out of them.)
Think back, have you made any changes to your computer that might have affected the configuration of the client? It appears that the configuration file(s) have been moved, changed, been overwitten/corrupted, or reindexed and can't be found. The culprit may be a hidden file. I gather this can sometimes happen if you are using MS Windows. There is one thing that you could try and that is to do a new clean install of their software on another computer and see if that works.

And (X-Lite) a Linux version.

Keep and eye on your free call records if you are not using the provider client.

i have exactly the same problem

it just appeared and my voipcheap account has worked flawlessly for 3 years.

every other computer i have installed it on and tested it on recently works fine. Its just my laptop XP SP3 which is not taking the installation anymore.

the parameter is incorrect then it locks up and needs removing from the task bar.

i have tried unistalling maybe 10 times, clearing registry and reinstalling with no change. i have even tried installing it on a different drive inside xp and no change.

what is this strange bug which never seems to get any attention from the voipcheap support team.

i emailed them too and just get we are working on the problem, evidently not...
