Hi all,
I am sightly puzzled by a problem regarding DHCP, I have successfully installed sipX 3.10.2 Centos 5 on Friday leaving it to default install DHCP, NAT etc, I have then yum updated to 3.10.3 today with no problem.
For info I have made the sipX server the default (Singular for DHCP etc) only having my broadband router 19218.200.1 as an external device with all networking DHCP etc turned off so as not to cause an issue.
Once the server has rebooted I have loged into the sipXconfig GUI via
https://192.168.200.150:8443 via a laptop as there is only a command prompt showing on the server itself, which I assum is correct. This has allowed me to check the diagnostic configuration test which resulted in a full pass, if however I download preflight onto the laptop DHCP fails (DHCPDICOVER timesout)
Now this is confusing part as the laptop is being given an IP and is able to connect to the Internet?
An IP phone connected directly to a switch is auto detected by DISCOVER DEVICES yet if I try a softphone such as X-Lite it registers with sipX but fails to connect with regards to calls which I believe is related to the DHCP issue.
Can anyone give me a few pointers please as to what I should try.
Regards
Funboy
