Im looking to buy 1000s of us fixed phone numbers. If you can recommend me any provider with cheap prices I will appreciate it. Thanks.

Um.
Why do you want numbers and in what country?

Generally numbers are easy, just register with the national telecom regulator, most don't even charge for them.

It is what you are going to do with them that gets expensive and complicates things.
If you have visions of becoming a full operator, (which is why you are thinking of thousands of numbers?) you will need switches, servers, billing platforms, carrier connections and the rest of the hoo-ha, plus a skip load of regulations to read, understand and comply with. I would recommend you give up now- It is an expensive way of losing money.

Better (slightly) to resell a white box system from an existing carrier and let them deal with the ulcers

United States numbers should not be a problem. Remember that they are already widely available there and often "free" - check the viability of your project carefully.

We were actually talking about the consumer end of things. IPCall give free numbers in a few areas and some Voip providers give a free number when you register for their service. For large numbers of DIDs you would buy from a DID seller (check Yahoo or and other search engin Reread the posts made by rgower.
