Available pre-release through T-Mobile with availability on 22nd October.
Mobile Burn has some specs:-

Has WiFi and 3G, but getting access to baseband audio on Android is not easy, so big question mark over VoIP capability.
I have seen a video on YouTube showing SIP running on Android:-

.... but it's (a) on the simulator and (b) no indication of whether or not 2 way audio is working.

Branded the "T-Mobile G1 with Google", it will sell in the US for $179, SIM locked to T-Mobile with choices of data plan at $25 and $35 per month; talk plan is separate. It will also launch in the UK "early November", and other European countries in 2009. The phone has a slide-out full ASCII keyboard and a touch screen.
The phone has several apps preloaded including (naturally) Gmail, Google Maps and YouTube. Google Maps features Street View, and a new innovation "Compass Mode", which changes the street view as you move the phone around, allowing you to compare the photographic view with what you actually see in the street. The phone also comes with Amazon MP3, so you can buy and listen to music, and also has a Webkit-based browser, (like Safari and Chrome). The phone will not have a desktop application, but rather synchronisation is meant to work with Google's online email and calendar, via WiFi or T-Mobile network.
