Hi,
I hsve tried reading on this topic but i could not fully understand everything.
Here is what i am trying to accomplish:
I work in a business where nothing is voip. I have my normal phone connected to an extension. At the place of buying a wide range cordless phone for my extension, I would like to use something that allows me to use the wifi internet connection of our business. So what i want do is a wifi voip phone on my office's extension, so when i walk around, my phone picks up calls by connection to the various access points throughout the building. Is this possible?
Also, is it possible to do such a thing and to get my calls through the internet from wherever i am with out any other service. Each call on my xtenstion should go through the internet on my own voIP server (run asterisk? on a linux pc). Will that allow me to get my calls anywhere in the building and anywhere else where i have wifi internet connection.
Thanks. |
