I have VOIPBUSTER working on X-LITE and this is how I did it. I hope this will be of help.

Thanks to Dean for publishing the images.

I set up X-LITE for VOIPUSER first and tested it. Once I was happy I then setup GOSSIPTEL and then setup VOIPBUSTER. I normally receive calls on the VOIPUSER number and my GOSSIPTEL number works as well. I have not used VOIPBUSTER for I/C. I use all three for O/G mostly VOIPBUSTER but I also use GOSSIPTEL to make all sip calls. I keep my use of VOIPUSER to a minimum O/G.

To setup VOIPBUSTER open the <menu> on X-LITE and then select <system settings>, <sip proxy>. A list of Proxies will then be displayed. Select the first spare proxy (in my case proxy 2) and double click it.

The following window will be displayed.

Image

Scroll down to see all the settings

Image

The key settings are:

Enabled YES
Display Name (VOIPBUSTER user name)
Username (VOIPBUSTER user name)
Authorization User (VOIPBUSTER user name)
Password (VOIPBUSTER password)
Domain/Realm sip.voipbuster.com
SIP Proxy sip.voipbuster.com
Out Bound Proxy sip.voipbuster.com
Dial Prefix (I left this at #2 and you have to add #2 to the front of the TN to make a call using VOIPBUSTER)

I left all other settings at the default.

When finished I clicked the back button to save the changes.

The only other change I made was to click on the GSM on the phone so that it was disabled (greyed out). This stops the VOIPBUSTER call going out at GSM quality (see other posts).

This works fine for me and I hope it helps you.

Hi Matt and welcome to VOIPUSER

Why not follow the setup instructions specific to Sipgate, rather than trying to adapt the Voipbuster ones. They are very clear and helpful and you will find them on the Sipage website.

http://www.sipgate.co.uk/faq/index.php? ... rubrik=560

I can't suggest to you how to setup the call without knowing where you are calling from but there is an extremely good and well written FAQ on the subject in the FAQ section.

Matt, you're missing the "00" before the country code. So, if #2 is your prefix for Voipbuster, you need to dial #20044139400000.

I have found this forum a great help and am almost there but not quite.
I am using a Handtone 486 as my first forray into Voip. My dect phone is happily set up with Sipgate and can make and receive calls nad am able to switch to BT line when needed by keying *00.
But I have now subscribed to Voipbuster and need to change the settings to allow me to use them for my outgoing calls.
Most of the Voip phones out there and bits of kit connected to them have the settings accesible through the embeded browser.
All quite straight forward. But what settings need to be changed and to what?

Example:
Do I disable ...stun.sipgate.net:10000 and just enable button above which says Nat only?
I am sure its a piece of cake but at the moment I have a very blunt knife.
I have been able to connect through my laptop using X Lite but its not really convenient. I am trying to persuade the wife that this Voip is the way to go.
Cheers
